The Deal "Hopi"

Grupo/Interprete: The Deal
Canción: Hopi
Disco: Goodbye September (2003)
Estilo: Power pop

The Boo Radleys "The Finest Kiss"

Grupo/Interprete: The Boo Radleys
Canción: The Finest Kiss
Disco: Learning to walk (1993)
Estilo: Indie Pop

I think about you sometimes because I know it helps my peace of mind.
It’s not that I don’t notice you, I have her love so bright it stings my eyes.

I could attempt to turn away because I know I can’t escape myself.
Just don't expect any sense because you’ll find it’s just a waste of time.

Have you seen her?
The finest kiss is mine.
Have you seen her?
Heaven every time.

The Anderson Council "Friday´s Girl"

Grupo/Interprete: The Anderson Council
Canción: Friday´s Girl
Disco: The Fall Parade (2006)
Estilo: Power Pop

Marshall Crenshaw "Cynical Girl"

Grupo/Interprete: Marshall Crenshaw
Canción: Cynical Girl
Disco: Marshall Crenshaw (1982)
Estilo: New Wave

Well I'm goin' out
I'm goin' out lookin' for a cynical girl
Who's got no use for the real world
I'm lookin' for a cynical girl
Well I hate TV
There's gotta be somebody other than me
Who's ready to write it off immediately
I'm lookin' for a cynical girl
Well I'll know right away by the look in her eye
She harbors no illusions and she's worldly-wise
And I'll know when I give her a listen that she
She's what I've been missin'
What I've been missin'
I'll be lost in love
And havin' some fun with my cynical girl
Who'll have no use for the real world
I'm lookin' for a cynical girl
Well I'm goin' out
I'm goin' out lookin' for a cynical girl
Who's got no use for the real world
I'm lookin' for a cynical girl
Yeah I'll know right away by the look in her eye
She harbors no illusions and she's worldly-wise
And I'll know when I give her a listen that she
She's what I've been missin'
What I've been missin'
I'll be lost in love
And havin' some fun with my cynical girl
Who'll have no use for the real world
I'm lookin' for a cynical girl

The Beach Boys "Little Honda"

Grupo/Interprete: The Beach Boys
Canción: Little Honda
Disco: All Summer Long (1964)
Estilo: Surf, Pop

GO!
I'm gonna wake you up early
Cause I'm gonna take a ride with you
We're going down to the Honda shop
I'll tell you what we're gonna do
Put on a ragged sweatshirt
I'll take you anywhere you want me to
First gear (Honda Honda) it's alright (faster faster)
Second gear (little Honda Honda) I lean right (faster faster)
Third gear (Honda Honda) hang on tight (faster faster)
Faster it's alright
It's not a big motorcycle
Just a groovy little motorbike
It's more fun that a barrel of monkeys
That two wheel bike
We'll ride on out of the town
To any place I know you like
First gear (Honda Honda) it's alright (faster faster)
Second gear (little Honda Honda) I lean right (faster faster)
Third gear (Honda Honda) hang on tight (faster faster)
Faster it's alright
It climbs the hills like a matchless
Cause my Honda's built really light
When I go into the turns
Lean [Tilt] with me and hang on tight
I better turn on the lights
So we can ride my Honda tonight
First gear (Honda Honda) it's alright (faster faster)
Second gear (little Honda Honda) I lean right (faster faster)
Third gear (Honda Honda) hang on tight (faster faster)
Faster it's alright
First gear (Honda Honda) it's alright (faster faster)
Second gear (little Honda Honda) I lean right (faster faster)
Third gear (Honda Honda) hang on tight (faster faster)
Faster it's alright

Eels "Saturday Morning"

Grupo/Interprete: Eels
Canción: Saturday Morning
Disco: Shootenanny (2003)
Estilo: Pop Rock alternativo

Saturday morning
And who's gonna play with me
Six in the morning baby
I got a long long day ahead of me

The parents are sleeping soundly
The neighbors are dead as wood
I'm getting up and coming over
We gotta rock the neighborhood

Nothing's ever gonna happen 'round here
If we don't make it happen
Sleep away the day if you want to
But i got something that i gotta do

It's saturday morning
And this ain't the place for me
I'm giving you warning baby
We got a whole big fat world to see

Nothing's ever gonna happen 'round here
If we don't make it happen
Sleep away the day if you want to
But i got something that i gotta do

It's saturday morning
And who's gonna play with me
Six in the morning baby
I got a long long day ahead of me

LA SEMANA DE HOODOO GURUS. ULTIMA ENTREGA. "What´s in it for me?

Canción: What´s in it for me?
Disco: Purity of Essence (2010)

DIA 6.. "If only .. " y "Chop"

Canción: If only ...
Disco: In blue cave (1996)

If I only knew what I know
I would not have done what I did.
You said all along I was wrong
But I went and did it anyway. Yes, I went and did it anyway.
But if only... (you should listen)
But if only... (stop and think)
I was in control (so I thought)
With a foolproof plan - what a joke!
Proving what a fool I can be
As it all exploded in my face.
Whatever made me do it anyway?
But if only... (time's a-wasting)
But if only... (Just move on)
But if only... (No use chasing)
But if only... (What is gone)
Oh, you sentimental fool,
You're finding out life can be cruel,
You cannot bend the rules.
Oh, you sentimental fool,
You find some coal and think that you'll
Create a precious jewel.
You sentimental fool!
But if only... (something ventured)
But if only... (nothing gained)
But if only... (You were captured)
But if only... (By your game)
Oh, you temperamental fool,
You've got to keep your engine cool -
You're burning too much fuel.
Oh, you temperamental fool
You think you'll find somebody who'll
Be warm when you are cool.
You temperamental fool!

Picking myself up off the ground
Everybody knows how that feels!
To be wrong again, as I know I will
It really doesn't matter anyway
But if only... (time's a wasting)
But if only... (just move on)
But if only... (no use chasing)
But if only... (what is gone)
But if only... (catching rainbows)
(can't be done)

Cancion: Chop
Disco: Mach Schau (2004)

You're beautiful, don't you know?
This wonderful inner glow
I want you to feel it too.
Here's the thing that you should do.
Charlie Pride is just outside to take you for a ride
I can't cop too much chop
Somebody starts copping it.
Out on top - too much cop
I've gotta start stopping it soon
Soon. I've gotta stop soon

One minute you're white as chalk
Then suddenly you must talk
Tell me all about yourself
You can think of nothing else
All you know is you're on show
Let everybody blow

I can't cop too much chop
Somebody starts copping it.
Out on top - too much cop
I've gotta start stopping it soon
Soon. I've gotta stop soon

Feeling fine, just get in line
If you are a friend of mine
Ride your sleigh, it's Christmas Day
Everything's OK

I can't cop too much chop
Somebody starts copping it.
Out on top - too much cop
I've gotta start stopping it soon
Soon. I've gotta stop soon

LA SEMANA DE HOODOO GURUS. DIA 5.. "Come anytime"

Canción: Come anytime
Disco: Magnum cum louder
Estilo: Aussie Rock,

What is it you want from me?
There isn't much I will not do.
If it's only company
You know, I might need that too.
Won't you
Come anytime - I'm a man of leisure,
Come anytime, I await your pleasure.

There's nothing new beneath the sun
We've butchered every sacred cow
Don't tell me about all the things you might have done
Just tell me what are you doing now - right now.

Come anytime, I won't give you pressure
Come anytime - I can wait forever
And if you can't make up your mind
We could make it up together.

Things like this happen every day
Whatever happens, it's O.K.
Why be afraid when we've got it made -
I'll never ask you to explain.

What is it you want from me?
You won't shock me easily.
Maybe it's your heart's desire,
Maybe it's your wildest dream,
Maybe I'm a gun-for-hire but,
Baby, don't we make quite a team, Don't we?
Don't we?
Come anytime (you're so inclined) I won't give you trouble
Come anytime (you're going blind) or you're seeing double
And I have never been the kind who'd want to
Burst your bubble.
Come anytime.

LA SEMANA DE HOODOO GURUS. CUARTA ENTREGA. "Good Times"

Canción: Good Times
Disco: Blow your cool! (1987)
Estilo: Pop Rock alternativo

You told me goodbye and I believed you.
Felt like I would die - I didn't need to
'Cos you came back to me
And everything's like it used to be.
All the good times we had we'll have again.

If your love is mine it will stand up
To the test of time. It will stand up.
It looked like we were through,
But in our heart of hearts we knew
The good times we had we'll have again.

And again.
Now I know you'll always be my friend
Til the end.
That means more to me than anything,
It's everything.

Who needs yesterday - that's far behind us
And memories only may serve to remind us
That what felt good before
Today we'll treasure so much more.
All the good times we had we'll have again.

LA SEMANA DE HOODOO GURUS. "I don´t mind"

Canción: I don´t mind
Disco: Kinky (1991)
Estilo: Aussie Rock

I don't mind the sweet taste of success,
I don't mind making do with less.
Take things as they come -
That's my only rule of thumb.
I don't mind that stage you're going through.
If you must, then do what you must do.
All I have is yours,
I only want you to be sure

I don't mind (ooh)
I don't mind - no, not I.

I don't mind Jesus or His squad.
I'm not afraid, I'll face anybody's god.
Follow your own creed,
If my freedom's guaranteed

I don't mind - no, not I.
I don't mind, why should I ?

Follow any creed,
If my freedom's guaranteed
I don't mind.

I don't mind when my dreams come true.
And what about when they seldom do ?
I don't mind "True Love and Happiness",
Well, that's fine but I'll take second best.
Take life as it comes
That's my only rule

LA SEMANA DE HOODOO GURUS. SEGUNDA ENTREGA "Show Some Emotion"

Canción: Show Some Emotion
Disco: Mars Need Guitars (1985)
Estilo: Pop Rock Alternativo, Nuevo Rock Americano

Show me some emotion,
I need to know right now
How can I read your mind?
Truly my love is blind
You must know I've fallen hard for you
But you don't react as if you do
And your eyes just seem to look straight through
But I see you

Show me some emotion,
I cannot understand
There is no need to hide
All that you feel inside
Show some emotion -
Why are you waiting for?
How can I read your mind?

Truly my love is blind
Did somebody hurt you once before?
There are other friendships left for you to explore
You play your cards close to your chest,
What you're thinking I can only guess
Here is my request (it's just this :)
Show me some emotion
Show me your emotion
How can I read your mind?
Truly my love must be bind
My love is blind

LA SEMANA DE HOODOO GURUS. DIA 1 "Leilani"

Disco: The Stoneage Romeos (1984)

Dave Faulkner/J.Baker/K.Rendall/R. Radalj

Somewhere on a South Pacific island
Sits a young man staring at the surf.
His native girlfriend died a death quite violent
A tribal sacrifice made to the earth.

She was brown, her hair was black, her eyes were blue.
A chief's daughter, Leilani was her name.
She and her young man made a handsome two
But lava tore them both apart again.

Leilani, don't go to the volcano (he'd say).

They were saving for a little hut,
She collected sea-shells every day.
Everynight they'd share a cigarette
But The ancient, angry gods got in the way.

Leilani, don't go to the volcano (he'd plead).

(CEREMONY:)
Katoomba, Hey! Macumbah, Ho!
Umgawah! Hey! Ho! Hey-eh! Ah...
Leilani - crula-bula-ulladulla-wok-a-tai
Aba-laba-laba, Hut!

Leilani-nevageta-huta-tera-cota-tile
Aba-laba-laba Hut!
Umgawah!!!

Still the young man sits upon the beach,
He's staring misty-eyed out into space.
He's thinking about his girlfriend (of late, deceased),
At least her death had purpose; now his life is a waste!
Leilani, don't go to the volcano (he'd beg her)
