A.C Newman "There Are Maybe Ten or Twelve"

Grupo/Interprete: A.C Newman
Canción: There Are Maybe Ten or Twelve
Disco: Get Guilty
Estilo: Pop Rock Alternativo, Indie Pop

A.C Newman fue miembro de Zumpano y en la actaulidad lo es de The New Pornographers, lo que de momento no le impide mantener una carrera discofráfica en solitario. Esta canción es de su segundo disco

there are maybe ten or twelve
things i could teach you
after that, well i think you're on your own
that wasn't their opening line
that was the tenth or the twelfth
make of that what you will
make of that what you will

once there was a haunted loop
of your deep fallen tears
forehead resting on a record shelf
amid moving boxes stacked
i'm still waiting for the right words
make of that what you will
make of that what you will

and the eyes they were
a color i can't remember
which says more than the first two verses
and it is the devil you know
that will slam the door harder
make of that what you will
make of that what you will
make of that what you will
make of that what you will

Super Deluxe "What´s up with me"

Grupo/Interprete: Super Deluxe
Canción: What´s up with me
Disco: Via Satellite (1997)
Estilo: Power Pop

what's up with me
would you believe
i'm not exactly what i'm supposed to be
a grand cliche on holiday
from what i read i guess a dead giveaway
a reluctant dilettante
with no favorite work of art
or beloved poem that i wrote in rome or somewhere
i get every lesson a la carte
and a purple heart starved for air
je parle francais while i'm away
though i never have a thing to say
what's up with me complatency
far too obvious for you to agree
an idiot savant wondering if he's dumb or smart
struck by cupid's arrow
or a poison dart filled with fear and how
everything might fall apart
ending at the start insincere
what's up with me
born a scorpio
my deviations on display
well i feel all wrong though i'm a-okay (so they say...)
i know better than to act this way
hell i put you on touche
what's up with me

champs elysee
suddenly she's there
telling me that i'm to blame
je suis content
getting what i want
though i whisper the wrong name
au revoir
no small faux pas
thinking of you

Magnapop "Lay it down"

Grupo/Interprete: Magnapop
Canción: Lay it down
Disco: Hot Boxing (1994)
Estilo: Indie Rock, Punk Pop

A sense of worth
A sense of same
A sense of what is in your name
Of what it means to let you down
And pretend when you're around

Lay it down for the last time
And then turn away
Lay it down for the last time
Surely show your rage

I'm sorry doesn't matter
And it makes you mad
And if it always stays the same
Then you'll never see it
I'm sorry doesn't help it
And it turns you away
You know there's something there
And it's tearing away at

The part that kills your faith
The part that kills your faith

A sense of worth
A sense of same
A sense of what is in your name
Of what it means to let you down
And pretend when you're around

Lay it down for the last time
And then turn away
Lay it down for the last time
Surely show your rage
Lay it down for the last time
And then turn away
Lay it down

I'm sorry doesn't matter
And it makes you mad
And if it always stays the same
Then you never see it
I'm sorry doesn't help it
And it turns you away
You know there's something there
And it's tearing away at

The part that kills your faith
The part that kills your faith

A sense of worth
A sense of same
A sense of what is in your name
Of what it means to let you down
And pretend when you're around

Lay it down for the last time
And then turn away
Lay it down for the last time
Surely show your rage

Lay it down for the last time
And then turn away
Lay it down for the last time
Surely show your rage
Lay it down for the last time
And then turn away
Lay it down

The Mockers "Mary Alice"

"Somewhere Between Mocksville and Harmony"(1995), fue el primer disco de esta banda estadounidense de power pop muy vinculada con España, Tony Leventhal y Seth Gordon se conocieron de niños en un colegio en Estepona.

I was walking down the street one day
Thinking 'bout the things I'd like to say
But it doesn't matter-it's okay
She never listens anyway

CHORUS
Who can it be, who can it be
Who can it be who's calling me?
Mary Alice, please won't you tell us
What is going on inside your head
I know I need you and don't believe you
When you say get someone else instead

I saw a person in my mind
The girl I thought I'd never find
But when I found her she was more
Than I had ever bargained for

CHORUS

When I saw you , I knew it must be true
That I would do anything you want me to

CHORUS

Kisses "Bermuda"

El duo angelino Kisses publicó el pasado año su primer disco "The heart of nightlife", indie pop electrónico que te traslada a los años 80 y que recuerda a los grandes de este género: Depeche Mode

Carey Ott "I Wouldn't Do That to You"

Looking at the soft skin of yesterday's light fall upon you
Rising up off the pillowy haze that we gaze through
It's the song that I sing because I have to
I make a choice to raise my voice but you're hard to refuse

I wouldn't do that to you
I wouldn't do that to you
I couldn't drag it out
You couldn't settle me down
I wouldn't do that to you

Peel off the yellowing pages of memories in black and white
When love was just a sweet idea we could lie beside
And it's a price that we pay because we want to
But it's worse to see the hurt when she's so much to lose

I wouldn't do that to you
I wouldn't do that to you
I couldn't drag it out
You couldn't settle me down
I wouldn't do that to you

(To you, to you)

Trying on the tough skin of Saturday night falls around you
I'm thinking of the billowing blaze that surrounded you
Now it's the song that you sing because you have to, not 'cause you want to
And it's the hardest thing to choose when there's so much to lose

I wouldn't do that to you
I wouldn't do that to you (no)
I couldn't drag it out
You couldn't settle me down
I wouldn't do that to you
