En su propia página web la banda explica el porqué de su existencia "The Yum Yums started out in the summer of '93 after they had found out that, what the world needed was a clean-cut pop band to add a little sunshine to a world of flannel and "beats-per-minute". Lo cierto es que esta banda noruega de power pop-punk fueron una refencia mundial. La canción que acompaño fue su primer single.
