Hablar de The Rezillos o The Revillos, es hacerlo de unos de los referentes del punk y de la new wave, y por su corta carrera, estamos ante uno de los grupos llamados "de culto". La banda nació en Edimburgo en 1976 y murió en 1978, pasandose a llamar The Revillos (que se disolvió en 1985). Emparentados musicalmente con Buzzcocks y Undertones.

Canción que pertenece al disco de debut de este cuarteto de Los Angeles encuadrados dentro de la Neo-pscodelía, como demuestran incluso con el nombre de la banda, igual que una canción Syd Barret; si bien la canción que "posteo" está dentro del power pop.
Tras estar sin "postear" nada en el blog por motivos profesionales y personales, vuelvo con esta joya del power pop australiano de los años 90. The Chevelles es una de las grandes bandas del power pop australiano, junto DM3, The Pyramidiacs, Superscope, Summer Suns y otros ejemplos que figuran en este blog. Esta banda, nacida en Perth en 1990, ha tenido una carrera musical discontinua, con pocos discos de larga duracíón (cuatro en dieciocho años, ya que el último es de 2008) y algunos singles, pero en cualquier caso resulta más que evidente que son los creadores de algunas de la mejores canciones de su género, por algo el lider de la banda es Richard Lane (ex The Stem)
