Vista la frecuencia de entradas en el blog, casi me aventuro a decir que estamos ante una de las últimas entradas del mismo. Lo cierto es que antes de que lo cierre definitivamente, me veo obligado a exponer canciones importantes (para mí y para la música) que no había puesto por olvido o por la ilusión de que este blog fuera eterno.
Dr. Feelgood, fue una banda de gran éxito a mediados de los 70 y principios de los 80. Roxette es una de sus canciones más conocidas, pertenece a su primer disco "Down by the Jetty"

I´m Sorry (1996) Discográfica: A&M Estilo: Pop rock Americano (del norte evidentemente) power pop Una de las mejores canciones de la banda de Arizona, que se encuentra en su tercer disco. La banda se disolvió después de la publicación de este disco y diez años después ha vuelto publicando dos discos en 2006 y 2010.

Después de catorce años , el año pasado The Cars publicó un disco. Hasta ahí todo normal: una banda de éxito de los años 80 que vuelve a reunirse, sacando un disco para hacer conciertos y caja. Pero el caso de The Cars es diferente a otras bandas que han vuelto para recordar sus viejos éxitos y ver lo bien o mal que el tiempo les ha tratado. Y digo que es diferente, porque Move like this, es un pedazo de disco, a la altura o mejor de alguno de los discos que publicaron en la década de los 80. Es un retorno honrado y un ejemplo es la canción que acompaño con este post, digna de la banda de Rick Ocasek y fiel a su estilo.

Este disco desapareció de mi vida en 1992, uno de mis muchos "annus horribilis", por razones que no vienen al caso el pasado octubre volvió a caer en mis manos. Este gente tuvo un gran éxito con "weather with you" y son de Australia.

Sin ánimo de menospreciar al resto de componentes de esta banda madrileña, para mí, Esclarecidos siempre será el grupo de Cristina Lliso: una de las mejores voces que hemos tenido en España. Encuadrados, por su nacimiento en 1981, dentro de la llamada "movida" nunca pretendieron vivir de la música por lo que su independencia fue absoluta y además montaron su propia discográfica: GASA. Creadores de dos de las más bellas canciones de los últimos treinta años en este país, Arponera y Por amor al comercio. Hoy toca esta canción que fue single de su disco de 1989 "De espaldas a tí".
Estilo: Power pop, pop rock cada vez menos alternativo.
Será la crisis, casualidad o una buena excusa para hacer bolos, pero lo cierto es que este año está pariendo cantidad de discos de bandas ya consagradas y algunas de ellas un tiempo alejadas de los estudios de grabación, me refiero a Teenage Fanclub, Hoodoo Gurus por ejemplo. No es el caso de Weezer, que en los últimos tres años va a disco por año, si bien es cierto que este disco era uno de los más esperados entre otras cosas por la portada, en fin el pasado 14 de septiembre se ha publicado el octavo disco de la banda de Rivers Coumo en dieciseis años. Intento de la banda de volver a la idea de los primeros discos y en su conjunto uno de los mejores disco de Weezer de los últimos años.
